ACES Mailboxes are moving to Microsoft Office 365

The Applied Technology Department is currently in the process of moving all ACES users to Office 365. ACES accounts have been granted licenses in preparation for the move. This means that your ACES account has full access to all the benefits of Office 365:

  • Larger mailbox capacity...100GB for most users (once your mailbox has been moved)
  • Newer "Outlook Online" interface and features...replaces the older Outlook Web Access app
  • Access to Microsoft Office downloadable products for Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android
  • 1TB of OneDrive storage for your ACES account
  • Access to other Office 365 features. Log in to Office 365 for a complete listing

To access Office 365, go to . Use your ACES email address ( and your ACES password to sign in. Do not use your ACES username (xxx\yyyy) as it will not be recognized by Office 365.

ACES accounts will be emailed a notice before their mailbox is scheduled to be moved and again on the day that the mailbox move is performed. Once your ACES mailbox has been moved to Office 365 you will need to sign in to the Outlook Online site to access your email. If you attempt to access your mailbox on the old mail server you may either be redirected to the proper web site or you may see an error message. This is a sure sign that your mailbox has been moved to Office 365.

If you encounter an error after you sign in, your mailbox has been moved and you will need to go to Outlook Online.


Most modern mail client software on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android will automatically reconfigure themselves to point to your moved mailbox once they try to connect to the old mail system. If this does not happen then you may need to delete your old mailbox connection configuration and create a new one.
