Position: Full-Time Temporary Science Teacher (Chemistry)
Estimated to Begin January/February 2018 (maternity leave assignment)
 
Providence High School, Burbank, is a Catholic, private, co-educational, college-preparatory institution which endeavors to serve students of varied academic backgrounds. The school carries the mission of the Catholic Church within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Providence High School was founded in 1955 by the Sisters of Providence and is governed by Providence Health and Services. Providence graduates are Faith-Filled Persons, Effective Communicators, Responsible Citizens, and Life-Long Learners. Qualifications and Description:
Applicants should have teaching experience in this subject area, and a Master’s Degree and/or teaching credential is preferred. 
 
Experience and qualifications to teach all levels of chemistry is needed. This full-time assignment will include 5 class sections and 1 substitution block.
 
Candidate should have knowledge and experience with creating and working with labs.
 
The candidate should be a self-starter, very knowledgeable in his/her teaching field, flexible, and passionate about education. Should be willing to provide additional academic and tutoring support to high school students.
