Job Description

Saint Sebastian School provides academic excellence in a Catholic, multilingual setting in order to prepare students to serve as faith-filled disciples in our global community. We are located in the heart of West Los Angeles and are seeking a full time middle school teacher for our for the 2017-2018 school year. Importantly, this position demands an educator who is skilled in differentiation, can clearly articulate and hold high expectations for all, and whose classroom management is impeccable.

We are seeking  a creative, HIGHLY energetic and fun/loving Preschool Teacher for the 2017-18 school year. This could be a full time or part time position starting November 2017.


  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English)

  • Experience in dual language settings
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, minimum 12+ ECE units to meet “fully qualified”status by Community Care Licensing.

  • Minimum of two years experience teaching preschool.

  • Must be able to work as early as 7:00am or until 6pm closing.

  • Will need to be fingerprinted, background checked and be willing to take the VIRTUS training.

  • T.B. cleared, Tdap and MMR

  • CPR & First Aid Certificate.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent classroom management and problem solving skills.

  • Have a friendly and professional disposition, lots of patience, and love children.

  • Must have great work ethics.

  • Computer skills, specifically: Microsoft word and Google Docs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Submit weekly lesson plans to the Director.

  • Plan and implement experiences to promote children’s learning (emotionally, socially, cognitively and physically).

  • Maintain parent relationship through regular communication (remind, emails, letters, etc.)

  • Physically be able to squat, run, sit criss cross, and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Monitor and assess students progress.

  • Plan and participate in parent conferences twice a year or as needed.

  • Regularly change classroom bulletin board.

  • Change diapers and potty train children.

  • Dependable, reliable, responsible and accepts instructions well.

  • Team player.

  • Follow requirements and guidelines established by  the Department of Social Services Title 22.
