Spanish Teacher

Description:

St. Bernard High School is seeking a Spanish Teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. Candidates must be prepared to teach beginning and intermediate level Spanish. Must be willing to be a determined, active, and flexible member of the Foreign Language department. We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills and motivation to build rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential. 

Requirements:

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or Education; 3 or more years teaching experience; Excellent planning, teaching, and assessment skills; Knowledge of current trends in Foreign Language education; Experience using instructional technology; An ability to convey enthusiasm for the subjects of Spanish; Strong classroom management strategies

Desirable qualities

Credential (BCLAD) or Multiple Subject Credential with emphasis in foreign language courses; MA in Education; Experience teaching at the high school level; Catholic school teaching experience
