St. Bernard High School is seeking a full-time Government/Economics teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. Candidates must be prepared to teach US Government, Economics, and AP US Government. Must be a determined, active, and flexible member of the Humanities department. We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills and motivation to build rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his. her full potential. 



Bachelor’s degree in History or Education; 3 or more years teaching experience; Excellent planning, teaching, and assessment skills; Knowledge of current trends in education; Experience using instructional technology; An ability to convey enthusiasm for the subjects of History; Strong classroom management strategies

Desirable qualities

Single-Subject History Credential or Multiple Subject Credential with emphasis in History courses; MA in Education or History; Experience teaching at the high school level; Catholic school teaching experience
