​Bishop Amat High School is seeking a qualified professional to teach French during the 2018-2019 school year.  The optimal candidate will possess high school teaching experience in a Catholic school environment with a demonstrated ability to provide effective learning experiences in language acquisition.  Ability to teach French courses ranging from foundational-level to higher-level (International Baccalaureate) is essential.

The candidate's teaching assignment may range from part-time to full-time, dependent upon his/her educational background and qualifications. 

Founded in 1957, Bishop Amat Memorial High School is a coeducational, comprehensive high school located in La Puente which serves approximately 1,350 students from the greater San Gabriel Valley.  The Mission of the school is to form a faith-filled community and to provide a quality education that addresses the needs of a culturally and academically diverse student body.  The comprehensive instructional program empowers students to recognize their potential and to meet educational and life challenges in the future.  The school partners with parents to promote education in Goodness, Discipline, and  Knowledge by preparing students to embrace Gospel values, to respect themselves and others, and to contribute positively to the community.  

Requirements:

​The qualified candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in French or related subject area.  A single-subject teaching credential and/or master's degree in French is strongly preferred.
