Part-Time Accountant - Temporary

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School

​We are seeking a part-time accountant to fill a temporary vacancy in our school finance office.

Job responsibilities include the following:

 Maintaining  school's general ledger

 Preparing monthly bank reconciliations and required account analysis    

Processing payroll with third party service provider

Monitoring and assisting in collection of outstanding receivables

Preparing monthly financial statements and annual report to Archdiocese

Analyzing and presenting operating results

Performing ad hoc analysis, as required

 Assisting in update of school budget 


The individual must be a self starter, capable of working with little supervision, possess strong communication skills and a positive demeanor in dealing with all constituents.   A degree in accounting with related experience is required;  a CPA is preferred​  Experience with Archdiocesan insurance and benefits programs is a plus.
