St.  Martin of Tours Parish School is a TK-8 elementary school located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA.    We are a small (one classroom per grade) school located within one of the most highly educated and high-achieving Catholic parish communities in the country.   Among elementary schools in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, St. Martin of Tours graduates have a long history of academic excellence.   Graduates attend the top Catholic and non-religious private high schools in the city and regularly matriculate to the finest institutions of higher education in the country.   We emphasize academic success, self-discipline and moral values in a small, tight-knit and personal environment. JOB SUMMARY:   We are seeking a Principal who is energized by the opportunity to lead a community of high-achieving students, parents and faculty, which has been built on a firm foundation of academic excellence, into the future of Catholic education.   This dynamic school leader should demonstrate outstanding educational vision, professionalism, excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational ability and deep emotional and social intelligence.  The principal will promote development in the faith; ensure the growth of every student by advocating, nurturing and sustaining a school culture and rigorous and holistic instructional program that is based on Gospel values and results in high expectations for all students and faculty; and, promote the success of all students by ensuring appropriate management relative to finance, personnel, fundraising and development, marketing and enrollment, and collaboration among all stakeholders. 



  • Practicing Catholic  
  • Minimum 5 years teaching experience, at least 2 of those 5 years in Catholic education
  • Preference given to candidates with administrative experience as a principal and/or vice-principal
  • Earned Master’s degree in Education or Education-related program
  • California Credential (teaching and/or administrative)
  • Preference given to candidates with Catechist Certification
