Summary: The Administrative Assistant for Academic Technology and Library Services would directly

support the library, technology, and professional development programs at FSHA. The administrative

assistant would work two full days per week (or equivalent)

Essential Job Functions:

The Administrative Assistant will assist the Director of Library Services with:

● patron services and working the circulation desk

● collecting fines and lost book fees

● tracking and renewing ongoing periodical subscriptions

● processing new book acquisitions

● managing the library’s calendar

● annual inventory

● library decoration and reorganization

● preparation for library events and other programs

● monthly budget reconciliation

● other items or special projects as requested

● manage library printer supplies

● submit monthly library photocopier usage reports

The Administrative Assistant will assist the Director of Academic Technology with:

● perform monthly budget reconciliation for Academic Technology, Professional Development,

and Online Programs budgets

● reconcile and prepare credit card report

● provide assistance with academic technology-related professional development opportunities

for faculty including developing budgets, completing request forms, making travel

arrangements, and organizing documentation

● maintain monthly bulletin boards for technology-related co-curricular programs

● maintaining academic technology related calendars

● maintain and share list of movies allowable under copyright licensing

● proctor students taking online programs as needed

● other items or special projects as requested​


Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

● Professional demeanor and strong organizational skills

● Ability to use a computer and operate office equipment including a photocopier and scanner

● Ability to type at least 35 wpm and perform basic clerical tasks

● Required proficiency in basic word processing and data entry.

● Experience with Excel or Google Sheets including the use of formulas in either program

● Ability to do basic Internet research

● Possess basic technology troubleshooting skills

● Experience using Google Apps for sharing documents desired

● Familiarity with the Dewey Decimal System
