REPORTS TO: Director of Faith Formation

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides administrative duties and support to the Director of Faith Formation.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

As an Archdiocesan employee representing the Roman Catholic Church, it is expected to conduct oneself in accordance to the goals and mission of the Church in performing their work.

The following tasks are considered essential functions of the position.  To perform the job successfully an employee must possess the abilities and capabilities to perform each duty proficiently.

           Maintain communication between the Office of Faith Formation and parent community via e-mail and parish website.

           Maintains communication between administrative assistant for DYM, parish office, and school.

·         Maintain Faith Formation website and Facebook page.

·         Maintain various program excel spreadsheets to track registration, payments, and attendance.

·         Keep volunteer data base current for all faith formation ministries.

·         Use time management and priority management to ensure projects are executed timely

·         Prepare and assist with FF registration and parent orientation(s) throughout the year.

·         Proofread all materials before they are distributed to the appropriate communities.

·         Use copier to print information for the promotion of FF.

·         Organize volunteers to assist in the delivery of FF projects throughout the year- Seasonal community mailers, Retreats, and First Communion.

·         Maintain FF budget

·         Answer telephone, pick up phone messages, and greet visitors.

·         Ensure all children are picked up by designated parent or guardian.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Any combination of experience and education likely to provide the required knowledge, skills, abilities and capabilities:Active member of a Roman Catholic parish faith community

      High school graduate or GED.

·       Two years’ experience as an administrative assistant or office experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge/Proficiency of:

·         Effective verbal and written communication.  Must be fluent in English and Spanish.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Chrome

·         Church and Parish organization

·         Ability to type minimum of 45 wpm

Ability to:

·         Maintain confidentiality

·         Lift up to 20 lbs

·         Sit for sustained periods of time on a daily basis

·         Perform tasks requiring intermittent bending, stooping, and walking

·         Sustain frequent movement of the fingers, wrists, hands and arms​
