Confirmation and Youth Ministry Coordinator - Part-Time

The Coordinator of Confirmation and Youth Ministry is responsible for the religious education and faith formation for the teens at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Community.


The Coordinator of Confirmation and Youth Ministry should:

  • Establish a strategic plan for the Youth Ministry Office, Confirmation and oversees its execution

  • Be dedicated to the ministry of youth ministry and confirmation

  • Help teens:

    • Grow in their relationship with God for the whole of life

    • Live as disciples of Jesus at home, at work, in the community, and in the world

    • Develop an understanding of the Bible and their faith tradition

    • Deepen their spiritual life and practices

    • Engage in service and mission to the world

    • Participate in the life and ministries of their faith community


  • Be deeply committed to developing his/her own faith life as well as that of teachers and students.

  • Continue their faith formation tough workshops and seminars for ongoing education.

Office Administration

  • Plan calendar and budget for the year for both Youth Ministry and Confirmation classes

  • Oversee registration, payments, participation, and attendance of the Confirmation program.

  • Recruit and facilitate training opportunities for volunteers.

  • Coordinate fundraising opportunities for the program

Confirmation Coordinator

  • Oversee promotion of Teen Confirmation program

  • Initiate and maintain accurate records of students, families, catechists, and other participants.

  • Assists team in planning classes and providing resources/materials.

  • Incorporates service opportunities, and reflections on these experiences

Youth Ministry

  • Recruit and facilitate team-building opportunities for volunteers

  • Promote, plan and organize Youth Nights for Jr. High Ministry

  • Provide service opportunities for the teens at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Community


  • Communicates with and affirms people by using appropriate interpersonal skills.

  • Facilitates effective group interaction and teamwork in task groups.

  • Assures that appropriate legal responsibilities are met within the context of a parish program.

  • Demonstrates appropriate responsibility and accountability to the pastor and the bishop or their delegates.

  • Maintains a collaborative ministerial relationship with other pastoral staff, parish ministry leadership, the Archdiocesan office and colleagues in the professional field.​


​Applicant must be faith-filled practicing Catholic with over five (5) years experience organizing and implementing successful Confirmation programs.  

Bachelor's Degree required.
