Kindergarten Instructional Aide

The instructional aide will support and implement the philosophy of Catholic education and will participate in building the faith community of Saint Charles School.  An instructional aide's job is to assist the teacher and reinforce the instruction taught in the classroom to students. This can include reviewing lessons with students individually, providing assistance to small groups of students, answering questions, or grading assignments.  The instructional aide position is under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher.  Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the instructional aide will instruct and monitor student's application of skills and concepts.  A teacher's aide may be asked to supervise the students outside of the classroom on the playground, during bathroom breaks, at lunch time, and on field trips. When class is not in session, a teacher's aide might assist with grading or other duties to prepare for class.  A teacher's aide helps with the integration of technology into the classroom. A teacher's aide may also organize the classroom and put supplies in order.  


The ideal candidate would be Catholic and would have strong classroom management and problem-solving skills, a professional and friendly disposition, a strong work ethic and desire to work with children.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Desire to be a full-time teacher and/or enrolled in an credential program preferred​
