Ministry Formation Centers
Ministry Formation Centers are established on a regional basis, and provide
an opportunity to take an initial step in developing ourselves as witnesses
to the faith. They afford us an opportunity to learn more about our faith
as it is understood within the tradition of the church, and prepare us to
share our faith as followers of Jesus Christ.
Those who seek certification as a catechist (early childhood through
adult), or as a Youth Ministry/Confirmation Team member will fulfill
their basic theology requirements through their participation. Taken in conjunction with a specialization and successful completio of the practicum, leads to certification for ministry as a catechist in any diocese or Archdiocese in California.
Topics covered include Images of God, Revelation, Jesus, Scripture, Church,
Sacraments, Liturgy, Morality, Social Justice, Prayer and Spirituality.
Parish ministers seeking updating and/or enrichment are welcome and encouraged
to participate.
