Youth Ministry and Confirmation Events 2010

Coordinator's Orientation: This is a day-long training for new coordinators in Youth Ministry, Confirmation, and Young Adolescent Ministry. It is a session that reviews liability issues, the structure of the Archdiocese, what the Office of Religious Education offers, and much more. The day lasts from 9am until 5pm and the cost per person is $25. This fee covers lunch and the materials offered on the day. This year's training will be offered on Saturday, September 25. San Fernando Regional Congress: On Saturday, September 18, the San Fernando Pastoral Region will host its annual day-long congress at Alemany High School. The theme this year is "Called to Be Stewards for the Earth." The day will last from 8:30am until 5:00pm and will include many different workshops for coordinators, catechists, and volunteers. San Pedro Regional Congress: On Saturday, October 2, the San Pedro Pastoral Region will host its annual day-long congress at St. Matthias High School. The theme this year is "Come, Be Joyful Servants for the Lord." The day will last from 8:30am until 5:00pm and will include many different workshops for coordinators, catechists, and volunteers. Youth Ministry Resource Day: "Grudges, Resentments and Hurts, Oh My!" is the title of the October 6 Youth Ministry Resource Day. Our day will be from 9am until 4pm and take place at St. Jerome Parish at 5550 Thornburn St., Los Angeles, 90045. This day will focus on the gifts of reconciling with people that have hurt us and the steps to healthy forgiveness. These insights will help you with your ministry and your personal life. National Conference for Catholic Youth Ministry: This national event sponsored by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry is for adults involved in any ministry with young people and will take place in New Orleans from December 9-12, 2010.
