Description:
Holy Cross Cemetery in Pomona, was founded in 1886 as the parish
cemetery of St. Joseph Church. The property includes forty acres of
which seventeen acres are currently undeveloped. Holy Cross is unique in
several different ways. It is one of two cemeteries that began as a
parish cemetery and was added to the Archdiocesan cemetery system
January 1, 1967. Additionally, it is our only cemetery that is
separated by a public avenue (Lexington Ave) into two distinct
properties.
