What is E-Learning?

In partnership with the Institute of Pastoral Initiatives at the University of Dayton, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles offers an internet-based e-learning opportunity. It is an ideal solution for people who want to learn more about their faith but who are constrained by time, distance, and family or work-related responsibilities.

Your classroom is your own computer desk, and your co-learners are from all over the country. Set your own schedule for participation in the courses offered. Join other students at the Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation (VLCFF)

Thinking about Updating or Studying for CEUs?

All courses provided through the Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation at the University of Dayton are eligible for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) The number of CEUs earned are based on the number of contact hours taken for a course. Earned CEU's may be useful in maintaining certification or licensure. They may also be useful in documenting a student's continuing professional education for an employer.

Re-Certification Hours

Participants who wish to use VLCFF courses for re-certification (catechists, teachers, etc.) need to contact the appropriate Archdiocesan office directly.

The Office of Religious Education acknowledges each successfully completed VLCFF course as the equivalent of 12 continuing education hours toward re-certification.
