Spiritual Direction Phase II

What is it?

It is a nine session series building upon Phase I, with continuing input and a strong emphasis on the practice of direction using case studies, role playing, and verbatims.

Who may attend?

Those who have completed Phase I or an equivalent program; directors who wish continuing input to strengthen their skills or who wish contact with other directors; those who are preparing to enter Phase III.

What are the requirements?

Participants must have completed Phase I or some equivalent program; have a spiritual director for at least a year; have made directed retreat; be able to commit to Phase II.

What are the topics?

Spirituality and integration; group spiritual direction; advanced listening skills; problem areas in spiritual direction; rules of discernment; prayer and integration; getting started in spiritual direction; the Nineteenth Annotation; elements that support/ enhance retreat and spiritual direction.
