Bookkeeper (part-time)

​The Bookkeeper is responsible for fiscal matters pertaining to the parish. He/she is a resource for the pastor and parish employees. He/she performs all bookkeeping duties to ensure proper maintenance of accounting records, processing of receivables and payables and preparation of routine and special accounting reports.

-develop annual budget and ensure expenditures throughout the year comply with the approved budget.

-prepares and presents financial reports as required.

-receives weekly collection, donaitons, rectory income, makes deposits.

-enters/ transfers data into Quickbooks

-pays bills, reviews invoices for accuracy.

-maintains accounting ledger using double-entry bookkeeping to enter receipts and disbursements.


-attends meetings as required.

-preforms related duties as necessary.


​-two years previous accounting/bookkeeping experience.

-HS diploma.

-courses in bookkeeping/accounting.

-Billingual- English & Spanish (preferred)

-knowledge of Microsoft Office & Quickbooks

-standard bookkeeping practices, office procedures, and buisness etiquette.

-oral and written communication.

-report generation and data entry.

-maintain confidentiality.
